finish that big crochet project I’ve been working on since July
stand up for myself more
stand up for my loved ones more
start taking care of my body more
start loving my body more
worry less about what others think about my body
take a class in a subject that interests me
figure out a curl routine that works for me
audition for more shows
…and get cast in one 🤞
have my friends over more
cook at home more
…but also try new restaurants more
tell people I love them
listen to my body when it’s speaking to me
listen to the Earth when she’s speaking to me
be weirder
talk to my younger self more, and listen
do things that would have made 12 year old me think “wow I’m so cool now”
spend more time at the library
…maybe because I’ll work there? 🤞
write more, even if it’s bad
spend less time on my phone
have good sex
have fun sex
have the kind of sex that makes me love my partner more
prioritize joy
recognize when I am happy, and notice how it feels in my body
recognize when I feel love, and notice how it feels in my body
work with my therapist on the things that scare me
pet my cats more
vacuum more often
cut down on clutter in case I have to move
cut down on clutter even if I don’t have to move because my partner thinks I’m a hoarder and he’s probably right even though I only hoard things because I’m sentimental
stop blaming my negative tendencies on separate things and hold myself accountable because there’s no reason I should still have the ratty tank top that I used to wear under my costumes in high school theater that’s covered in mic tape spots, that thing is disintegrating and it’s not like buying a new tank top is going to break the bank, jesus christ.
and get rid of socks without matches while you’re at it.
write all this out and then forget about it. have the year that you want without worrying about checking boxes.
